Controller
Responsibilities:
• Lead accounting activities related to acquisitions, including purchase accounting and the financial integration of newly acquired entities.
• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accurate reporting, timely completion, and consistency across multiple business units.
• Manage consolidated financial reporting for multi-entity operations, maintaining strong controls and reliable financial data.
• Direct post-close integration efforts from an accounting perspective, establishing processes that align acquired businesses with corporate standards.
• Partner with leadership to identify financial issues early and implement practical solutions that support business objectives.
• Use NetSuite to support accounting operations, reporting accuracy, and entity-level visibility across the organization.
• Review and improve accounting workflows to strengthen efficiency, compliance, and scalability in an acquisitive environment.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable leadership role.• Demonstrated success leading purchase accounting and post-acquisition integration activities, not solely supporting them.
• Experience working in a private equity-backed business or a company with a strong acquisition strategy.
• Strong background in month-end close management and multi-entity consolidations.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, with added value placed on experience using custom segments or integrated add-on tools.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive solutions in a hands-on leadership role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting requirements in complex operating environments.
