Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant who will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing close activities, and ensuring balance sheet integrity through careful review and reconciliation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on experience working across general ledger processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly close activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks.

• Record and post journal entries with appropriate support, maintaining accuracy and consistency across accounting periods.

• Manage general ledger activity by analyzing transactions, researching variances, and resolving discrepancies promptly.

• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis to confirm balances are complete, supported, and properly stated.

• Complete bank reconciliations by comparing cash activity to internal records and investigating unmatched items.

• Review financial data for accuracy and identify issues that may affect reporting quality or compliance with accounting standards.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather documentation, clarify accounting treatment, and support reporting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role within a detail-focused business environment.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and completing detailed account reconciliations.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and investigate outstanding differences.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and comfort working within accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation

$34.04-$43.00 Hourly
