Human Resource Manager

Louisville, KY 40299-2510, US Full Time
Compensation: $75 to $85 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead site-level HR operations for a manufacturing facility in Louisville, Kentucky. This role will serve as a trusted partner to supervisors and employees across multiple shifts, providing practical support in employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR guidance. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach, sound judgment, and the ability to stay visible and approachable in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the full scope of human resources support for the facility, ensuring consistent execution of people programs and HR policies.

• Oversee weekly payroll administration for under100 employees, including both hourly and salaried team members, while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

• Guide employee relations matters by coaching managers, addressing workplace concerns, and supporting disciplinary and counseling processes when needed.

• Lead recruiting efforts for plant-based roles, coordinate interviews, and help deliver a smooth onboarding and orientation experience.

• Administer benefits activities and collaborate with external broker partners to support employee enrollment, questions, and ongoing plan communication.

• Maintain HR records, reporting, and administrative processes, including the use of HRIS and payroll systems to support compliance and operational needs.

• Build strong working relationships with supervisors and employees on all shifts by remaining present on the production floor and available for questions or support.

• Supervise and support one HR team member, helping coordinate daily HR tasks and interview logistics.

• Partner with site leadership to adapt HR practices to changing business needs within a manufacturing setting.

  • Medical, dental & vision coverage
  • Short-term and long-term disability
  • Life insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • PTO
  • Annual bonus based on company and individual performance

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a long-established, family-owned manufacturing company

  • Work directly with employees and leadership rather than being confined to a corporate office
  • Opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to step into an HR Manager role
  • Strong visibility and influence across the organization
  • Collaborative, hands-on environment where HR is an important part of the operation

This is a confidential search. Company information will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Open to a strong HR Generalist ready to take the next step
  • Experience with payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, and compliance
  • ADP experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, floor-focused environment
  • Adaptable and willing to wear multiple hats
