Account Payable Clerk

The Robert Half Consulting division is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to assist with the day-to-day processing of vendor invoices and payment activities. The ideal Accounts Payable Clerk is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for timely payment.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Code invoices and enter data accurately into the accounting system.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure accounts are current.
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
• Monitor outstanding liabilities and ensure compliance with payment terms.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to address accounting-related questions.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• 1+ years of accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice matching, and payment processing.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar platforms is a plus.
