Sr. Accountant
Our client, a dynamic and growing technology company in San Diego, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This position will play a key role in supporting the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and helping maintain strong internal controls in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
- Analyze financial data and research variances to ensure reporting accuracy
- Maintain fixed asset schedules, accruals, and prepaid expense reconciliations
- Support audit activities and assist with providing documentation for external auditors
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal accounting controls
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
- Support ERP and system-related accounting initiatives, including process enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the technology industry
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and variance analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Experience in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment
- Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP platforms
- Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced technology company
Compensation
