Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance in a regulated financial services environment. This role will partner with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and variance analyses
• Assist with audits, exams, and regulatory filings
• Maintain accounting documentation, procedures, and internal controls
• Support accounting for investments, loan activity, and cash settlement processes
• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Provide guidance and review support for accounting staff

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services or another regulated industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, audit support, and internal controls
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems
