Warehouse Technician
We are seeking detail-oriented professionals to support a large-scale records management and digitization project in Fairburn, GA. This project involves organizing, identifying, tracking, and preparing a significant volume of physical records for future digitization.
The records center currently maintains approximately 52,000 boxes of documents, along with additional records stored across roughly 1,500 pallets. Each box must be properly identified, associated with the appropriate department, and tracked within IBM Maximo using QR codes and transmittal information.
This is a hands-on position combining data entry, records management, inventory tracking, and physical document handling.
Enter and maintain box and records information within IBM Maximo.
Input information from transmittal sheets accurately and efficiently.
Research and identify boxes that are missing transmittal documentation.
Determine which department or business unit owns specific records.
Coordinate with appropriate staff to obtain missing record information and documentation.
Assign, scan, and verify QR codes used to track boxes and their locations.
Maintain accurate records of what each box contains, where it is stored, and which department it belongs to.
Locate and retrieve boxes requested by internal departments.
Assist with receiving, moving, organizing, and returning physical records.
Verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies between physical boxes and information stored in Maximo.
Prepare physical records for future scanning, digitization, and AI-based document processing.
Support the overall organization and cleanup of a high-volume records center.
Qualifications:
Previous data entry, records management, document control, inventory, warehouse, or administrative experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of information.
Comfortable working within databases or record-management systems; IBM Maximo experience is a plus but not required.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data-entry applications.
Ability to research incomplete records and identify discrepancies.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a records center/warehouse-style environment and handling physical boxes.
Ability to perform repetitive data-entry and records-processing tasks while maintaining accuracy.
Compensation
