Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Dallas, TX. This individual will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their technical accounting skills and grow within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting requests.
• Assist with audits by gathering supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
