About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant to join the Market & Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM) Model & Artificial Intelligence Solutions (MAIS) team. This team provides analytic insight, AI model development and enablement, regulatory expertise, model governance, model management, and model performance monitoring.

In this role, you will support model management activities, risk reporting, and governance processes while partnering with risk, compliance, and technology teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional seeking to deepen their expertise in risk analytics, model management, and regulatory reporting within a large financial institution.

In This Role, you will:

  • Participate in analysis and modeling initiatives that support risk reporting, model management, and governance activities.
  • Review and analyze programming models and datasets to identify trends, support reporting needs, and improve data quality.
  • Perform data reconciliation, process production, and model documentation activities in accordance with policy and governance requirements.
  • Support the management of Market and Counterparty Risk Management models.
  • Coordinate and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables for management and business partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Present recommendations and findings related to data reconciliation, reporting, and database issues.
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, technology, and business partners to support model development, model management, model governance, monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Support the execution and documentation of key controls in alignment with company standards and governance expectations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights.
  • Experience supporting reporting, analytics, data reconciliation, or model governance activities.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, risk management, or financial products.
  • Familiarity with model governance and monitoring concepts, including performance tracking and documentation.
  • Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using Jira, Sharepoint, or similar workflow and project management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a governance-driven environment.

Job Expectations:

  • This position follows a hybrid work schedule.
