Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a growing legal practice in Northwest, Indiana with day-to-day financial operations and accurate recordkeeping. This onsite role is well suited for someone who can manage core accounting functions independently and keep financial processes running smoothly. Familiarity with legal billing is beneficial, and success in this position will come from a fast-paced environment and have confidence working across multiple bookkeeping responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the firm's bookkeeping activities from start to finish, maintaining complete and accurate financial records.
• Handle accounts payable and ensure vendor invoices are reviewed, processed, and paid on schedule.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Complete monthly close procedures and prepare reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank and other balance sheet accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Process payroll accurately and on time while maintaining proper documentation and compliance.
• Support billing-related tasks and contribute legal billing knowledge when applicable.
• Work onsite with internal team members to address accounting questions and maintain efficient financial operations.
This role will offer a salary between 50K-68K and benefits including medical insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience working as a Full Charge Bookkeeper with responsibility for complete accounting functions.• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks in a business environment.
• Hands-on experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ability to perform month-end close activities and prepare detailed account reconciliations.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Background in a legal setting or familiarity with legal billing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in an onsite role.
Compensation
