Compensation: $37 to $47 Yearly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Clerical Associate to support benefits-related administrative work for a non-profit organization in New York, New York. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, assisting with employee and member inquiries, and helping ensure benefit processes are handled efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with sensitive information in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update benefit, personnel, and administrative records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide clerical support for benefits administration activities, including documentation, filing, correspondence, and data entry tasks.
• Respond professionally to questions from members, retirees, employees, vendors, and partner organizations, directing issues appropriately when needed.
• Review forms, records, and related materials to verify completeness and identify errors before processing.
• Organize physical and electronic files so documents can be retrieved efficiently while preserving confidentiality.
• Assist with coordination of benefit-related functions such as leave administration, COBRA support, and general benefits processing.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams while managing assigned tasks independently and meeting established deadlines.
• Perform additional office and administrative duties as needed to support daily departmental operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in clerical, administrative, office support, or customer service work is preferred.
• Ability to enter data accurately and maintain organized records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee, member, and benefits-related information with discretion.
• Careful attention to detail when reviewing documents and information for accuracy.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with staff and other departments.

Compensation

$37,000.00-$47,000.00 Yearly
