Billing Supervisor/Manager
**REMOTE** We are looking for a Billing Supervisor/Manager to lead billing operations and support financial accuracy for a growing organization in western suburbs. This position oversees day-to-day team performance, strengthens billing and asset control processes, and helps maintain service and quality expectations across the department. Responsibilities:
• Direct daily billing and asset control activities to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with operational goals.
• Supervise team members by handling onboarding, work assignments, shift planning, coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when needed.
• Track department results against established targets and introduce process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and service levels.
• Investigate billing or inventory-related issues, resolve exceptions promptly, and recommend practical changes that reduce recurring problems.
• Contribute to annual budgeting by supplying department data, reviewing spending patterns, and helping address cost variances.
• Prepare and deliver reports that summarize operational and financial performance for management review.
• Communicate regularly with leadership, peers, and external stakeholders on progress, priorities, and departmental status.
• Support broader organizational objectives by assisting with additional projects and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in billing, revenue operations, or a related supervisory role.• Demonstrated ability to oversee staff, delegate work, manage schedules, and review performance consistently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SAP, and standard office applications for reporting and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and the ability to analyze data to support financial decision-making.
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to gather details, assess options, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Experience creating statistical and written reports using database, spreadsheet, and word-processing tools.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to provide updates to clients, managers, and team members.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities, take on expanded responsibilities, and collaborate effectively with others.
Compensation
