Human Resources Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Specialist for a contract assignment. This onsite role will provide day-to-day HR support across hiring, new employee setup, benefits coordination, employee records, and staff inquiries. The ideal candidate can step in quickly, work independently in a fast-moving environment, and deliver accurate, responsive support to both employees and leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Guide new hires through pre-employment and onboarding processes, ensuring all required documents are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain organized personnel records by creating, updating, and reviewing employee files for completeness and compliance.
• Assist with talent acquisition activities by sourcing applicants, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating interview schedules with hiring teams.
• Help promote open positions through recruitment outreach and employment marketing efforts to attract candidates with relevant experience.
• Address employee questions related to HR policies, workplace procedures, benefits, and general employment matters in a timely manner.
• Support benefits administration by working with employees and external benefit partners to facilitate enrollments and resolve issues.
• Review timekeeping entries, respond to payroll-related questions, and follow up on discrepancies when needed.
• Keep employee information current in Paycor and use the system to support accurate HR reporting and record management.
• Contribute to compliance efforts by applying company policies and employment regulations consistently across HR activities.
• Provide broad administrative assistance to the HR function and help manage shifting priorities as business needs arise.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience using Paycor in a human resources setting is required.
• Prior background in an HR specialist, coordinator, or generalist role.
• Practical experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Knowledge of benefits coordination and employee support related to compensation and benefits programs.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records and documentation accurately.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with a customer-service approach focused on detail.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities independently.
Compensation
