As a Tax Preparer your Responsibilities will include but aren't limited too:

• Manage calendars and coordinate meetings for clients, tax professionals, and internal stakeholders to keep seasonal workflows on schedule.

• Organize the distribution, shipment, and receipt tracking of completed tax returns and supporting documentation.

• Retrieve electronic tax files, sort and maintain records, and share materials securely with the appropriate team members.

• Assist with the preparation and processing of individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.

• Maintain strict confidentiality while handling financial records, tax documents, and sensitive client information.

• Work across multiple software platforms and databases to update records, monitor documentation, and support tax operations efficiently.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, partners, and colleagues through phone, email, and other business correspondence.

• Provide administrative and operational support to the tax department during peak filing periods and other high-volume deadlines.

Qualifications:

The ideal Tax Preparer will have: 

• Experience supporting tax, accounting, or other service teams is preferred.

• Ability to manage several priorities at once and remain organized in a deadline-driven setting.

• Strong technical skills, including comfort learning and using tax software, document systems, and databases.

• High level of accuracy with careful attention to detail in document review and data handling.

• Proven ability to safeguard confidential information and exercise sound judgment with sensitive materials.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

• Strong time management and organizational abilities, especially during busy tax season workloads.

• Familiarity with individual tax return processes and tools such as Lacerte Tax Software is a plus.
