Accounts Payable Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of company obligations. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and payment information.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
- Monitor aging reports and ensure payments are made according to established terms.
- Support annual audits by providing documentation and account analysis.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate expense coding and approval workflows.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience processing high-volume invoices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
