Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key accounting operations for a Long-term Contract opportunity based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role will focus on fixed asset and lease accounting, month-end activities, account analysis, and audit support within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on systems experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and maintenance of accurate asset records.
• Manage lease accounting processes in compliance with ASC 842, ensuring completeness and accuracy of related schedules and entries.
• Contribute to the month-end close by preparing journal entries, reviewing general ledger activity, and resolving accounting variances.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to support accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with audit readiness by organizing support documentation, responding to requests, and helping facilitate external audit procedures.
• Maintain accounting data within Oracle and related systems to support efficient reporting and transaction processing.
• Use tools such as LeaseAccelerator, Smartsheet, and Excel to track schedules, analyze balances, and improve reporting accuracy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support ongoing accounting needs and other assigned financial responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including significant exposure to senior-level general ledger responsibilities.
• Background working within a private equity-owned organization.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliation activities.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Proficiency with Oracle and advanced Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation work.
• Experience using LeaseAccelerator and Smartsheet in an accounting or financial reporting environment.
• Ability to prepare accurate supporting documentation and contribute effectively during audit cycles.

Compensation

$45.60-$52.80 Hourly
