Regulatory Audit Manager

Compensation: $128 to $150 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced regulatory and audit specialist to lead high-impact utility compliance and rate-related initiatives. This role combines team leadership, regulatory strategy, and detailed financial analysis to support filings, testimony, and executive decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of utility regulation, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate technical and economic data into clear business recommendations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of regulatory and rate analysts while fostering accountability, collaboration, and career growth.
• Direct the creation of tariff proposals and supporting testimony for submission to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
• Manage the preparation and coordination of regulatory filings and represent the organization in proceedings before the Commission when needed.
• Perform financial, operational, and regulatory analysis to support audits, formal filings, and leadership priorities.
• Evaluate technical and economic data and convert findings into effective rate design recommendations.
• Examine proposed state and federal laws, rules, and regulatory changes, and provide informed guidance on potential business impact.
• Contribute to negotiation planning and settlement support by preparing analysis, scenarios, and strategic recommendations.
• Conduct research and develop decision-support materials that help senior leadership assess risk, strategy, and regulatory direction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in utilities, regulatory affairs, public audit, or a closely related field.
• CPA designation required.
• Strong background in regulatory filings, FERC matters, and complex financial analysis.
• Proven ability to write clearly and communicate effectively, including experience preparing formal testimony or regulatory documentation.
• Prior leadership experience with responsibility for supervising, mentoring, or training team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Self-directed, results-focused, and comfortable working with minimal day-to-day oversight.

Compensation

$128,000.00-$150,000.00 Yearly
