Bilingual Spanish Customer Experience Specialist
About the Opportunity
A local nonprofit organization is looking for a Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative to join its team and serve as a key point of contact for the individuals and families it supports. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating with a diverse community, and making a positive impact through their day-to-day work.
The ideal candidate is personable, patient, and comfortable assisting customers in both English and Spanish. This person should be able to handle a variety of questions, provide clear information, and navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
The position will be fully onsite during the first six months to provide training and support. Following the initial six-month period, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule of three days remote and two days onsite each week.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and community members by phone, email, and in person.
- Provide assistance and information regarding the organization's programs, services, and resources.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking customers and provide bilingual support as needed.
- Respond to questions and concerns while ensuring customers receive timely and accurate information.
- Assist customers with applications, forms, documentation, and other processes.
- Maintain accurate customer information and update records in internal systems.
- Follow up with customers to gather additional information or provide updates.
- Work closely with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Perform data entry and other administrative tasks related to customer accounts and services.
- Help support a positive and welcoming experience for every customer.
- Assist with additional projects and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
- Previous customer service, administrative, call center, community services, or related experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, patient, and empathetic approach to customer service.
- Ability to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Reliable and professional with a strong commitment to providing excellent service.
Compensation
