Procurement Analyst

Compensation: $95 to $120 Yearly

We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to support strategic purchasing and supply planning for a food-focused operation in the East Bay,California. This role is ideal for someone who can balance cost control, supplier performance, and product availability while working in a fast-paced environment. Experience connected to the food sector is highly valued, and familiarity with school meal programs would be especially beneficial.


Responsibilities:

• Analyze purchasing activity, pricing trends, and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities and strengthen procurement decisions.

• Coordinate with internal teams to maintain steady product availability, align purchasing plans with operational demand, and reduce supply disruptions.

• Support sourcing initiatives by gathering quotes, comparing vendor proposals, and contributing to commercial negotiations.

• Review contracts, purchase terms, and supplier commitments to help ensure favorable pricing, service levels, and compliance standards.

• Monitor inventory movement and logistics patterns to improve replenishment timing and overall supply chain efficiency.

• Prepare reports and recommendations for stakeholders on spend patterns, vendor results, and procurement performance metrics.

• Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers to improve communication, service reliability, and issue resolution.

• Assist with procurement process updates, including operational changes or system-related transitions, to support continuity and accuracy in purchasing activities.


Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain analysis.

• Working knowledge of corporate procurement practices, sourcing methods, and vendor management.

• Experience supporting supply chain operations, including purchasing coordination and logistics planning.

• Ability to contribute to contract review and supplier negotiations with strong attention to detail.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing data and develop practical recommendations.

• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

• Background in the food industry is preferred, and experience related to school meal programs is a strong advantage.+

$95,000.00-$120,000.00 Yearly
