Security Analyst

Robert Half is seeking a Security Analyst I for an organization looking to add an entry- to mid-level security professional to its team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in security operations and identity/access support who can serve as a key first line of support for the security function.

This position will focus on triaging security alerts, reviewing logs, supporting patch and vulnerability management activities, and handling IAM-related support tasks such as account lockouts and password resets. The Security Analyst I will escalate more complex issues to senior security team members while helping offload operational security and patching responsibilities from other internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and investigate Level 1 security alerts and escalate issues to Level 2 analysts as needed
• Review logs and identify suspicious activity or issues requiring follow-up
• Support patch management efforts across workstations and servers, including drivers and firmware
• Help review, track, and remediate patching gaps using tools such as ManageEngine and Intune
• Assist with vulnerability management and basic risk management processes
• Provide support for identity and access management functions, including account lockouts, password resets, and access-related issues
• Serve as a helpdesk/support resource for the security department
• Document incidents, actions taken, and escalation details clearly and accurately
• Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding security issues, patching status, and support needs

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a security support, SOC, IAM, helpdesk, or IT support environment
• Exposure to security operations, alert triage, log review, patching, or vulnerability management
• Experience supporting IAM-related tasks such as password resets, account lockouts, and user access issues
• Familiarity with workstation and server patching, including firmware and driver updates
• Experience with tools such as ManageEngine, Microsoft Intune, or similar endpoint/patch management platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and escalate issues appropriately

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA CySA+
