Payroll Clerk

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, payroll processing experience, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. The Payroll Clerk will support payroll operations and help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll data including hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and tax withholdings
• Review timesheets and payroll records for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain employee payroll records and update information as needed
• Assist with payroll-related questions from employees
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits as needed
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies
• Perform data entry and other administrative tasks related to payroll

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of payroll, accounting, or related administrative experience
• Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping software
• Strong data entry and Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Associate degree or relevant certification preferred, but not required
