Bookkeeper

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our client. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on experience managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall business performance.

The Bookkeeper will play a key role in overseeing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, processing payables and receivables, and helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial data. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial reports
• Review invoices, payments, and expense reports for completeness and accuracy
• Help support payroll processing and related recordkeeping, as needed
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding account activity
• Support compliance with internal policies, procedures, and accounting controls

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or related experience
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger support
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or Workday (Source: Q1 2026_The Demand for Skilled Talent.pdf)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and overall systems proficiency
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational ability
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
