Temporary Human Resources Manager (6-Week Assignment)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Onsite)
Assignment Length: Approximately 6 weeks
Start Date: August 21
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to provide temporary coverage during a six-week leave of absence. This individual will step into a leadership-level HR role and manage day-to-day human resources operations with minimal training. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, has experience in an education or public-sector environment, and can quickly adapt to an established HR department.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily HR operations and provide support across employee lifecycle activities.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees, supervisors, and leadership.
- Support employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR compliance.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and personnel transactions as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Utilize Frontline and Airtable to manage HR processes, records, and reporting.
- Partner with internal departments to ensure smooth HR operations during the temporary assignment.
- Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, district policies, and HR best practices.
Qualifications:
Requirements
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Previous experience as an HR Manager, Human Resources Director, or equivalent leadership role.
- Prior HR experience within a school district, educational institution, or public-sector organization is strongly preferred.
- Experience using Frontline is required; Airtable experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn existing processes.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Available to work fully onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for the duration of the six-week assignment.
Compensation
