We are currently looking for Construction General Laborers with experience working in water and sewer to join our team in Orleans, IN. In this role, you’ll work alongside a Lead Groundman, Foreman, or independently to keep projects running smoothly and safely. If you enjoy hands-on work, learning new skills, and contributing to a team, we want to hear from you.
The starting pay is $35.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist with installing trench and excavation safety systems to maintain a safe work environment.
- Help set up and install underground utility pipelines for water, sewer, and storm lines.
- Support testing and sampling of installed utility pipelines to ensure quality and performance.
- Familiarize yourself with Indiana’s no-dig laws and the 811 process to help us stay compliant.
- Maintain general housekeeping, erosion control, and tool upkeep to keep the site organized and efficient.
- Operate equipment such as pipe saws, pumps, and impact wrenches to assist with project needs.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive the crew truck to and from the job site when necessary.
- Take on additional tasks as needed to support the crew and project.
What We Need:
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record; CDL preferred.
- Experience working outdoors in the construction or general labor industry required.
- Experience in the water and sanitary pipe industry preferred.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction methods, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to perform tasks that require sitting, bending, standing, walking, and climbing; Ability to lift over 50 pounds when required.
- Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to travel weekly throughout the state of Indiana.
