Responsibilities
The Staff Surveyor is responsible for overseeing technicians and field crews in the completion of large-scale land surveying projects. This role collaborates with Project Surveyors and other teams to execute project scope, schedule, and deliverables established by the Survey Project Manager.
- Coordinate with Project Surveyors and project teams to execute land surveying projects according to the established scope and schedule.
- Supervise technicians and field crews completing large-scale surveying projects.
- Serve as a client point of contact and sign and seal plats, drawings, and other survey documents.
- Mentor and train technicians on state surveying requirements and QA/QC procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the company’s strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently execute professional land survey tasks
- Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale survey projects
- Strong technical skill set, including AutoCAD and MS Office
- Professional Land Surveyor License (or ability to obtain within 6 months) required
- Transportation experience preferred
