The Application Analyst I assists with and performs application system analysis and design activities including requirements gathering, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation of systems. Provides application support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting activities while developing foundational knowledge of supported applications, organizational workflows, and client business needs.

The Application Analyst I

  • ​Conducts analysis of application design including planning implementations and maximizing application benefits. Develops working knowledge of assigned applications and related development and maintenance tools.

  • Assists with issue resolution, tracks issues, and provides updates to peers, leadership, and clients with supervision.

  • Supports assigned tasks and projects and meets deadlines with supervision.

  • Assists with requirements gathering.

  • Develops an understanding of client business needs, organizational structure, and supported applications with a high degree of supervision.

  • Develops reference materials including status reports and documentation for supported applications and related technologies with supervision.

  • Participates in department initiatives and processes and facilitates a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Tracks work effort including time, task, project, incident, and enhancement details and communicates work status in a timely manner.

  • Participates in an on-call rotation during business hours and after hours, weekends, and holidays with supervision.

What We Require:

Education: Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business, or 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience: None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Obtains and maintains a minimum of one vendor and/or industry certification or proficiency as determined by management following a primary support application proficiency path.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Self-initiated team player with strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a positive team environment while prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Demonstrates dependability, accountability, curiosity, adaptability, continuous learning, appropriate escalation, adherence to departmental processes and documentation standards, awareness of clinical and compliance impacts, and respect for confidential information. Works effectively in a matrixed environment and develops understanding of Bimodal work principles. Primary business hours are Monday through Friday and may include weekends and holidays. Requires after-hours on-call coverage and occasional travel.

Compensation Range:

$57,616.00 - $86,424.00

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
