ServiceNow Systems Engineer w/Top Secret Clearance

A3 is seeking a talented and experienced ServiceNow Systems Engineer to join our innovative team. If you'd enjoy being responsible for managing the installation, administration, maintenance, backup, and restoration of a custom application built on the ServiceNow Platform for the DoD Enterprise, this role is for you!
In this job you will:
  • Create and maintain all system sustainment and maintenance documentation (i.e. System Administration Manual, Configuration Management Plan, Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery Plans, Technical Design Documents, and Maintenance Plans).
  • Support all activities related to the installation, administration, maintenance, backup, and recovery of a custom application built on the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Design, develop, and implement strategies for system security, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) requirements and processes (i.e. Prepare deployment support documentation, manage change requests, solicit Product Owner (PO) approval, etc. prior to deployments and/or system patches).
  • Support data export and transfer as needed.
  • Capture and analyze application performance metrics and recommend performance improvement strategies to enhance system uptime, reliability, and stability.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance processes, technical documentation, plans, and reports as needed.
  • Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities under the DoD Risk Management Framework (DoDRMF) to maintain the application's Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Coordinate vulnerability scans, analyze results, and support remediation efforts.
  • Support assessments, security patching, and maintain compliance with all applicable policies, directives, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Task Orders/Operational Orders, Information Operations Conditions, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and other security controls, guidelines, and requirements.
  • Support periodic self-assessments, scans, and tests to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Support assessments and Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) testing as required.
  • Support security patching and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Support testing exercises (i.e. User, Regression, Smoke, and IV&V Testing) throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure security enhancements and vulnerability patches do not compromise application functionality and performance.
  • Document software defects, bugs, and other issues identified during test exercises.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and support to customers; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues, implement bug fixes, and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively seek opportunities to innovate and evolve our development processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to support, maintain, and administer high performing and scalable solutions to address mission-critical needs for the Insider Threat mission in the DoD.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Related Field.
  • DoD 8570/8140 Certification Required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in System Engineering and Administration with the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal IT environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the DoD RMF process, assessments, and documentation.
  • Experience with enterprise RMF compliance tools such as eMASS, Xacta, or CSAM.
  • Experience with Nessus, Tenable, or Retina scans.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Understanding of DoD policies, directives, and initiatives as they relate to custom application development (i.e. DoD Risk Management Framework (DoDRMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Section 508 Compliance, etc.)
Security Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance Required.
Location:
  • Remote (DC Metro Area)
Salary Range:
  • The salary range of this position is $120,000 - $132,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
