Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Oversee plaintiff personal injury files through pre-suit and litigation stages, keeping matters organized and progressing on schedule.
• Prepare a range of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, demand submissions, and client or case-related correspondence.
• Track critical dates, maintain calendars, and manage case records to support timely filings and follow-up activity.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, insurers, medical offices, and opposing counsel to gather information and coordinate next steps.
• Obtain, examine, and summarize medical documentation, treatment records, and billing information for case development.
• Compile settlement demand materials and provide litigation support, including assistance with hearing and trial preparation.
• Arrange depositions, mediations, court appearances, and meetings, ensuring all participants and materials are properly coordinated.
• Update case management systems accurately and monitor each file to ensure consistent communication and task completion.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of hands-on paralegal experience in personal injury matters.• Background supporting plaintiff-side personal injury cases is required.
• Working knowledge of Texas court practices, filing procedures, and litigation timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal case management platforms.
• Strong organizational ability with the capacity to manage numerous active matters at once.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients and legal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and provide dependable support in a solo-attorney environment.
