Revenue Manager
We are looking for a Revenue Manager to join a Long-term Contract opportunity supporting revenue operations. This role will focus on accurate revenue accounting, timely monthly close execution, and contract review activities while helping reduce outstanding workload. The position is well suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can work independently, investigate financial variances, and contribute to process improvements across revenue-related workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Drive monthly revenue close activities by preparing journal entries, checking underlying data, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure revenue is recorded accurately and on schedule.
• Examine period-to-period revenue fluctuations, research unexpected changes, and summarize findings in a clear and business-focused manner.
• Review customer agreements to assess accounting treatment, identify revenue considerations, and support resolution of pending contract evaluations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders on analytical assignments and operational priorities tied to revenue management needs.
• Identify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend practical improvements that strengthen accuracy, consistency, and turnaround time.
• Provide day-to-day execution support as an individual contributor, helping the team address backlog and maintain continuity in core accounting activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, ideally with experience in the software industry.• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant background in revenue accounting, revenue operations, or financial analysis.
• Solid knowledge of revenue recognition guidance, including ASC 606, and experience applying it in practice.
• Ability to interpret contracts and customer terms to determine financial and accounting implications.
• Proficiency in month-end close, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance investigation.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify anomalies and translate results into actionable insights.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage responsibilities independently in a fast-paced environment.
