Medical Front Desk Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients upon arrival, guide them through the check-in process, and help ensure a positive and welcoming front office experience.
• Coordinate appointment calendars by scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and canceling visits based on provider availability and patient needs.
• Manage incoming phone calls and front desk inquiries, providing clear information and directing questions to the appropriate staff when needed.
• Maintain accurate patient information in office records and verify demographic or appointment details during each visit.
• Support daily reception activities such as preparing paperwork, organizing front office workflow, and assisting with general administrative needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and providers to keep office operations running smoothly throughout the day.
• Assist with updates to office procedures or front desk systems when needed as part of ongoing operational support.
• Help monitor waiting room flow and address routine patient concerns with courtesy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Experience working in a medical front office, healthcare reception, or a similar patient-facing administrative role.• Demonstrated ability to schedule patient appointments accurately and manage a busy calendar.
• Knowledge of standard front desk responsibilities, including patient check-in and phone-based communication.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology used in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail in handling patient information and office documentation.
• Clear communication skills and a courteous approach when interacting with patients and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
