Supply Chain Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate inbound container drayage assignments with transportation providers by following established routing and service guidelines.
• Keep operating procedures current and share process updates with logistics partners, customs contacts, carriers, and internal teams involved in inbound operations.
• Collect shipment visibility data from carriers and combine it into daily inbound reporting for broader operational use.
• Source and evaluate market pricing for drayage on new transportation lanes to support cost-effective decision-making throughout the year.
• Reassign loads when primary carriers decline freight or fail to meet service expectations in order to protect delivery performance.
• Track carrier execution on a daily basis, address service issues promptly, and take action to reduce delays and avoid unnecessary accessorial costs.
• Support operations, sales, finance, and compliance teams by securing transportation documents, gathering spot quotes, and resolving carrier-related requests.
• Expand and strengthen the carrier network by meeting with prospective providers, participating in carrier selection, and helping onboard new partners.
• Lead recurring carrier business reviews, oversee annual bid activity and volume distribution, and help manage contract discussions and performance expectations.
• Prepare and distribute weekly port activity updates and contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency across inbound logistics workflows.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation analysis roles.• Working knowledge of supply chain logistics, supply chain management, and global supply chain operations.
• Experience coordinating carrier activity, monitoring service performance, and resolving transportation exceptions.
• Ability to analyze shipment data, maintain reporting accuracy, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with forecasting, production planning, and how transportation impacts inbound supply continuity.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills when working with carriers and logistics service providers.
• Proven ability to make timely decisions in a fast-moving environment while balancing service and cost considerations.
