QC Field Inspector – Construction

Location: Muskogee, OK

Assignment Length: 2 Years

Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 annually

Schedule: Full-Time | Field-Based


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QC Field Inspector to support a large-scale construction project in Muskogee, Oklahoma. This role will be responsible for monitoring construction activities in the field and ensuring that work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience with a strong understanding of Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, working closely with contractors and project teams, and ensuring quality from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field inspections of civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality standards.
  • Review construction progress, materials, installation methods, and workmanship to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Inspect foundations, concrete, structural steel, framing, finishes, site work, and other construction components.
  • Verify materials, dimensions, elevations, tolerances, and installations meet approved project specifications.
  • Witness and document required inspections, testing activities, and quality-control processes.
  • Identify deficiencies, non-conforming work, and quality concerns; communicate issues and assist with corrective action tracking.
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports, photographs, checklists, testing records, and quality documentation.
  • Review contractor documentation, including inspection records, material certifications, and testing results.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project teams to resolve quality issues and support successful project completion.
  • Participate in project meetings, punch-list inspections, and closeout activities as needed.
  • Ensure construction activities follow applicable codes, safety requirements, industry standards, and established quality procedures.

Qualifications:

Qualifications Required

  • 3+ years of experience in construction inspection, quality control, quality assurance, or a related construction field.
  • Experience inspecting construction work in a field environment.
  • Working knowledge of Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, blueprints, and project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, workmanship, and quality-control practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify construction deficiencies.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project management.
  • Ability to work outdoors and around active construction activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on large-scale industrial, commercial, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Experience with inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Experience preparing or managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Experience with concrete, structural steel, civil/site work, and architectural construction.
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes, industry standards, and construction specifications.
  • Certifications such as ACI, AWS/CWI, ICC, NICET, or other relevant construction inspection/QC certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with construction management or project documentation software is preferred.

Compensation

$28.00-$36.00 Hourly
