Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting activities and help maintain accurate, timely financial operations in Millbury, Massachusetts. This position plays a key role in managing close activities, payroll administration, reconciliations, and financial reporting while partnering with accounting support resources. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable balancing multiple priorities, and confident working in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
• Direct day-to-day accounting activities across receivables, payables, cash deposits, account balancing, and maintenance of financial records.
• Own the month-end close cycle by preparing entries, reviewing account activity, and delivering accurate financial results on schedule.
• Administer payroll processing and assist with employee benefits coordination to support timely and compliant compensation practices.
• Provide oversight and direction to remote or offshore accounting team members to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and enhance monthly financial reporting materials to improve visibility into business performance.
• Support budgeting efforts by refining planning processes and helping leadership monitor financial results against expectations.
• Strengthen internal controls by maintaining clear procedures and promoting consistent accounting practices across the organization.
• Perform general ledger analysis, journal entry preparation, and bank and account reconciliations to support reliable reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting/finance/business
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong QuickBooks proficiency
- Experience with ADP or similar payroll system
- Multi-entity accounting experience a plus (they have a few divisions to the company)
Compensation
