Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a fast-growing consumer products company in Brea, California. This position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic organization operating across manufacturing and e-commerce while working closely with a collaborative accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring strong foundational accounting experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage core financial processes in a changing business environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accuracy across the general ledger.
• Support monthly and year-end close activities by reviewing financial data and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with corporate tax and sales tax processes, including compiling documentation and coordinating filings.
• Monitor balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and provide accounting support for daily business operations.
• Contribute to financial recordkeeping for e-commerce and product-based transactions, ensuring completeness and proper classification.
• Help maintain accounting data within NetSuite and support ongoing process improvements tied to system and reporting needs.
• Participate in ad hoc analyses and special projects to support the company’s continued growth and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax concepts, including support for related compliance activities.
• Experience using NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Background in e-commerce, manufacturing, or consumer products is preferred.
• Familiarity with Avalara is an advantage but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation

$75,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
