Credentialing Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate provider onboarding activities by collecting, reviewing, and submitting required credentialing materials to the designated agency in a timely manner.
• Assist newly onboarded mental health providers throughout the credentialing process, offering clear guidance and follow-up when questions or issues occur.
• Monitor application progress and maintain accurate status tracking to ensure each step is completed without delays or missing information.
• Partner with the primary credentialing lead to support daily workflow, documentation review, and case follow-up.
• Review forms and supporting records for completeness and accuracy, escalating discrepancies when additional clarification is needed.
• Organize, track, and file I-9 documentation for new team members and maintain employee files in accordance with internal recordkeeping practices.
• Prepare and update administrative logs, checklists, and related documentation to support audit readiness and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting credentialing activities, including provider credentialing, physician credentialing, or re-credentialing processes.• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple documents, deadlines, and follow-up tasks accurately.
• Effective written communication skills and the ability to provide clear, thorough guidance to providers and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with experience maintaining confidential files and administrative records.
• Ability to think critically, identify missing information, and resolve routine process issues independently.
• Proficiency with standard office systems and document management tools used for tracking applications and personnel records.
• Prior administrative support experience in healthcare, HR operations, or a related regulated environment is preferred.
Compensation
