Sr. Compliance Analyst
We are looking for a fully remote Internal Auditor to focus on regulatory compliance. This Long-term Contract position centers on testing, issue validation, and corrective action follow-up, with particular attention to Reg E and related consumer banking requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong internal audit mindset and can translate regulatory expectations into practical, well-documented compliance assessments.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed compliance testing across deposit and lending processes to evaluate adherence to applicable banking regulations and internal standards.
• Review controls, sample transactions, and supporting documentation to identify gaps, determine root causes, and assess potential risk exposure.
• Partner with business and compliance stakeholders to track remediation efforts and confirm that corrective actions are fully implemented and effective.
• Analyze regulatory requirements including Reg E and apply them to testing approaches, findings documentation, and risk-based recommendations.
• Prepare clear audit and compliance reports that summarize observations, supporting evidence, and recommended next steps for management review.
• Use Excel formulas and data analysis techniques to organize testing results, identify patterns, and support reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to assessments involving lending and deposit compliance topics such as HMDA and CRA where applicable.
• Assist with remediation validation related to operational or process changes when those changes affect compliance controls or testing outcomes
Qualifications:
• Experience in internal audit, compliance testing, or regulatory review within a banking or financial services environment.• Strong knowledge of deposit or lending compliance requirements, including hands-on familiarity with Reg E.
• Ability to evaluate issues, document findings thoroughly, and support remediation follow-up in a structured manner.
• Proficiency with Excel formulas and spreadsheets for analysis, tracking, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of compliance areas such as HMDA and CRA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and sound judgment when interpreting regulations and reviewing evidence.
