Social Services Administrative Support
We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Project Assistant to support emergency housing stabilization and case management services in Baltimore, Maryland. This position offers the chance to assist residents facing urgent housing disruptions by combining administrative coordination with direct support during crisis response activities in a client service communication capacity. The role is best suited for someone who can stay organized in a fast-moving environment, communicate with empathy, and manage documentation and service coordination with accuracy. You will work closely with internal teams, community partners, and emergency response personnel to help residents access timely assistance and stabilization resources.
Responsibilities:
• Support resident intake activities by gathering essential information, assessing immediate concerns, and helping document housing-related emergencies accurately.
• Maintain organized electronic case records, including service notes, referrals, supporting documents, and incident-related materials within the case management system.
• Help coordinate stabilization efforts by connecting individuals and families with housing resources, financial assistance options, and community-based support services.
• Provide calm, respectful, and trauma-informed assistance to residents experiencing displacement, distress, or other crisis situations.
• Assist with after-hours and rotating on-call response coverage, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency events when needed.
• Contribute to emergency response operations by supporting sheltering activities, intake documentation, and on-site administrative tasks during community incidents.
• Prepare summaries and supporting records related to emergency cases, including documentation connected to partner agencies and response teams.
• Collaborate with city departments, nonprofit organizations, and external service providers to ensure coordinated support for affected residents.
• Participate in team discussions, planning sessions, and process improvement efforts that strengthen emergency housing response service
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting case management, social services, housing assistance, behavioral health, or related human services programs.
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage timelines, maintain accurate records, and handle detailed data entry.
• Effective communication and crisis-response skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with client intake procedures, documentation standards, and case management software systems such as Neighborly.
• Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, Maryland and remain flexible for overtime, rotating on-call assignments, and emergency scheduling needs.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments where priorities may shift quickly based on community emergencies.
• Background in customer service, project coordination, government services, or community-facing support roles is highly valued.
