Crisis Services Administrative Support Coordinator
We are looking for a Project Assistant to support emergency housing stabilization and case management services for residents in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong administrative skills with empathy, sound judgment, and the ability to stay organized in urgent situations. The role centers on coordinating client intake, maintaining accurate records, and assisting response efforts tied to housing-related emergencies while working closely with internal teams and community partners.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct client intake conversations and assess immediate housing, financial, and supportive service needs during crisis situations.
• Build and update case records in the designated case management platform, documenting assessments, referrals, follow-up actions, and outcomes with accuracy.
• Prepare organized electronic files that include supporting documents, incident details, and related images for each case.
• Assist with housing stabilization planning by linking residents to community programs, public resources, and partner services.
• Provide calm, respectful, trauma-informed support to individuals and families facing displacement or other emergency housing events.
• Contribute to after-hours and rotating on-call coverage, including evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime support when emergencies arise.
• Support field and centralized response activities during fires, weather incidents, utility disruptions, evacuations, and other community emergencies under team leadership.
• Coordinate with city agencies, nonprofit providers, and emergency responders to help deliver timely assistance and maintain service continuity.
• Participate in team meetings, emergency planning discussions, and process improvement efforts that strengthen crisis response operations.
Qualifications:
• Experience in administrative support, case coordination, social services, housing assistance, or a related human services environment.• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain timelines, and produce accurate documentation in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including attentive interaction with clients, agencies, and response partners.
• Comfortable using data entry systems and case management software to maintain complete and compliant records.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to respond compassionately to people in distress.
• Flexibility to work primarily onsite in Baltimore, Maryland, with availability for evenings, weekends, overtime, and emergency response needs.
• Knowledge of crisis communication, client intake practices, and community resource coordination.
• Background in social work, psychology, behavioral health, housing services, or government-supported community programs is preferred.
Compensation
