Solutions Architect II – Azure, Microsoft 365 & AI

Robert Half is seeking a Solutions Architect II to design, document, and govern enterprise technology solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and emerging AI platforms. This role partners with business stakeholders, project teams, engineering teams, and technology leadership to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable solutions that drive organizational efficiency and innovation.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Azure cloud architecture, Microsoft 365 technologies, security, identity management, and AI-enabled solutions. This individual will provide architectural leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, governance frameworks, security requirements, and strategic technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and AI technologies.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, implementation plans, and operational support models.
• Lead architecture activities from concept through deployment and operational transition.
• Ensure solutions meet business, security, compliance, scalability, performance, and cost optimization requirements.
• Architect Azure environments including networking, identity, governance, monitoring, storage, application hosting, and AI services.
• Design Microsoft 365 solutions utilizing Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, Power Platform, Defender, and Purview.
• Develop identity and security architectures using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Zero Trust principles.
• Evaluate and design AI-enabled business solutions leveraging Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, ChatGPT, Claude, and Power Platform AI capabilities.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify automation and AI opportunities that improve business processes and user productivity.
• Contribute to architecture standards, governance processes, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, design workshops, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.
• Mentor technical teams and provide architectural guidance across initiatives.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing enterprise technology solutions within large IT environments.
• Experience serving as a Solutions Architect, Senior Engineer, Cloud Architect, or similar technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud architecture, governance, networking, security, monitoring, and platform services.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
• Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, Power Platform, Defender, and Purview.
• Experience with Microsoft AI technologies including Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, identity management, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments preferred.

This role is ideal for a Cloud Solutions Architect or Microsoft Solutions Architect looking to drive innovation across cloud, collaboration, security, and AI technologies within a large enterprise environment.

Compensation

$109,000.00-$172,000.00 Yearly
