Litigation Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Support attorneys throughout active litigation matters by tracking progress, organizing case materials, and helping move each matter forward efficiently.
• Manage discovery workflows by gathering records, reviewing materials, and preparing documents for production in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.
• Keep physical and electronic case files well organized, maintain exhibit collections, and oversee litigation documents within case management systems and databases.
• Perform legal and factual research using digital research platforms, court resources, and public records to assist with case development.
• Draft, finalize, and submit pleadings, motions, and related filings in state and federal courts, including electronic court submissions.
• Track filing dates, hearing schedules, and other key deadlines while maintaining attorney calendars to support timely case activity.
• Arrange and coordinate depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances, including scheduling and logistics management.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, court staff, expert witnesses, and external service providers.
• Assist with trial readiness by preparing witness materials, organizing binders, compiling exhibit and trial lists, and supporting courtroom logistics.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in a litigation paralegal role, preferably within civil litigation.• Demonstrated knowledge of discovery processes, litigation support, and trial preparation activities.
• Experience preparing and filing legal documents in both state and federal courts, including e-filing procedures.
• Proficiency with case management software and document organization tools used in litigation environments.
• Strong research skills with the ability to locate and synthesize legal and factual information from multiple sources.
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple matters at once.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties.
Compensation
