Housing Services Administrative Coordinator
We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Project Assistant to support emergency housing stabilization and case management services in Baltimore, Maryland. This integral position offers the chance to assist residents facing urgent housing disruptions by combining administrative coordination, client support, and emergency response assistance in a fast-moving environment. The role is primarily onsite and is well suited for someone who can remain organized, empathetic, and responsive while working with individuals and families during difficult circumstances.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct client intake conversations and assess immediate housing, financial, and service-related needs for residents affected by emergencies.
• Maintain complete and well-organized electronic case records, including notes, referrals, supporting documents, and incident-related materials.
• Enter and update case information in the designated case management platform with accuracy and attention to reporting standards.
• Help develop practical stabilization plans by linking clients with community programs, housing resources, and supportive services.
• Provide calm, trauma-informed assistance to individuals and families experiencing displacement, distress, or crisis situations.
• Support emergency housing and shelter coordination during incidents such as fires, severe weather events, utility disruptions, and building evacuations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and assist during evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime situations when emergency response is required.
• Work alongside city agencies, nonprofit partners, and emergency response personnel to coordinate services and document response activity.
• Assist leadership during large-scale emergency operations by managing intake, tracking displaced households, and ensuring timely documentation.
• Contribute to team meetings, planning efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen crisis response services.
Qualifications:
• Experience in administrative support, case coordination, social services, housing support, or a related client-facing environment.• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain timelines, and stay effective in high-pressure or rapidly changing situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with distressed clients and partner agencies.
• Proficiency with data entry, digital recordkeeping, and case management or administrative software systems.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a compassionate, respectful, and trauma-informed approach.
• Willingness to work primarily onsite in Baltimore, Maryland, with availability for evening, weekend, holiday, overtime, and on-call assignments as needed.
• Familiarity with crisis communication, client intake processes, and community-based resource coordination.
• Background in social work, psychology, behavioral health, housing services, or government-supported human services is preferred.
Compensation
