Staff Accountant
Job Summary
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support general accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role will be contract to hire and will assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation
- Analyze account activity and investigate variances
- Support financial reporting and internal reporting needs
- Assist with fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Support audit requests and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Experience in accounting or finance
- Understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet software
