Technical Business Analyst (ISO 20022)
Key Responsibilities
Wire Applications Support
- Provide production support for wire processing applications and related payment systems.
- Monitor application health, transaction processing, interfaces, and operational workflows.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution activities.
- Support deployments, upgrades, maintenance activities, and post-implementation validation.
- Maintain operational procedures and support documentation.
ISO 20022 Initiatives
- Support ISO 20022 implementation and transformation initiatives across wire platforms.
- Analyze requirements related to message format changes, data mapping, and integration impacts.
- Partner with internal teams and vendors on design, testing, migration, and implementation activities.
- Validate message transformations, compliance requirements, and end-to-end processing workflows.
Merger & Conversion Initiatives
- Support merger, acquisition, and conversion programs impacting wire and payment platforms.
- Participate in customer, account, entitlement, template, and transaction migrations.
- Perform data mapping, reconciliation, validation, and conversion readiness activities.
- Assist with conversion testing, production cutovers, and post-conversion support.
Requirements & Solution Analysis
- Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Create user stories, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform impact assessments, gap analysis, and solution evaluations.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and requirements workshops.
Agile Delivery
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support backlog management activities.
- Create and manage user stories, defects, and tasks in Jira.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to support sprint delivery.
- Track project risks, dependencies, and impediments.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and validation procedures.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and conversion testing.
- Validate APIs, file transfers, interfaces, transaction processing, and data conversions.
- Manage defect triage, resolution tracking, and test reporting.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or related role.
- Experience supporting wire processing, payments, treasury, or financial services applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and application support processes.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wire processing platforms such as Finastra PAYPlus, WITS, SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, RTP, or similar payment solutions.
- Direct experience supporting ISO 20022 initiatives.
- Experience with merger, acquisition, conversion, or large-scale migration projects.
- Knowledge of payment compliance, sanctions screening, AML, and fraud prevention solutions.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
- Familiarity with APIs, SQL, SFTP, middleware, messaging platforms, and cloud technologies.
- Understanding of banking operations, payment processing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management.
