Collections Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Collections Specialist to manage outstanding accounts and support the collection of past-due balances. This role will involve communicating with customers, researching account issues, and helping reduce delinquency while maintaining strong professional relationships. The ideal candidate is persistent, customer-focused, and highly organized. This is a 3+ month contract role!

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers regarding past-due balances
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts
• Research account discrepancies and payment delays
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or account issues
• Document collection activity and account status updates
• Negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate
• Support efforts to reduce delinquency and improve cash flow
• Prepare reports related to collection activity and account trends

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit and collections
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet software
