Description

The Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, primarily in support of the Cybersecurity Engineering program. The Cybersecurity Engineering program is an interdisciplinary program bridging Computer Science and Computer Engineering. The Cybersecurity Engineering program is a new program, and the opportunity is available for a qualified candidate to serve as Program Director. As part of the SIUE School of Engineering, the Computer Science Department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree program in Computer Science, as well as B.A. and M.S. Computer Science degree programs, and the B.S in Cybersecurity Engineering. The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department offers ABET-accredited B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and an M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related area is required. ABD candidates may be considered.
  • All applicants must have a demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring in computer science and cybersecurity, at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in developing a quality research program and in attracting external research funding.
