About the Role:

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods throughout the warehouse. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, shipping, and receiving activities. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize transportation routes and warehouse utilization, minimizing costs while maintaining high service levels. They will also monitor shipment schedules, resolve any logistical issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, the Logistics Coordinator ensures that products are delivered accurately and on time, supporting overall business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and regulations within the United States.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and international shipping processes.
  • Ability to analyze data to improve logistics processes and reduce costs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage warehouse operations including inventory control, stock replenishment, and space optimization.
  • Schedule and track shipments, liaising with carriers and freight companies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Identify and resolve logistical problems, such as delays or discrepancies, proactively communicating with relevant stakeholders.

Skills:

The required skills in logistics management, warehouse management, warehousing, and shipping and receiving are applied daily to coordinate and streamline the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. The Logistics Coordinator uses logistics management skills to plan and execute transportation strategies that reduce costs and improve delivery times. Warehouse management and warehousing skills are essential for maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing storage space efficiently, and ensuring smooth receiving and dispatching operations. Shipping and receiving expertise enables the coordinator to handle documentation, compliance, and communication with carriers effectively. Preferred skills such as proficiency with logistics software and certifications enhance the ability to analyze data, optimize processes, and adapt to evolving supply chain challenges.
