Job Description:

Reporting to the Dean of Extension School, the Director of Recruitment and Outreach for Extension School is responsible for spearheading the development and execution of innovative recruitment strategies to drive enrollment and revenue for all programs. The Director works closely with the Dean and the University's marketing team to enhance program visibility and engagement, ultimately contributing to Extension School's strategic goals.

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment and marketing strategies to achieve enrollment and revenue targets for all Extension School programs.

Identify and pursue new market segments, such as populations of students including high school students, degree completers, and those seeking apprenticeships along with initiatives like dual enrollment, workforce development, and credentialed programs.

Enrollment Management

Oversee all aspects of the enrollment process from initial contact through to enrollment, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for prospective students.

Manage student communications, including outreach and follow-up via web, telephone, mail, email, and in-person interactions.

Event Planning and Coordination

Plan and execute recruitment events both on- and off-campus, including open houses, virtual information sessions, fairs, community-based organization events, school visits, and engagements with business and industry partners.

Partnerships and Outreach

Build and maintain relationships with municipal, community, and industry partners to expand enrollment opportunities.

Collaborate with external organizations to enhance program visibility and create recruitment pathways.

Work in close partnership with the college's Director of Partnerships and Innovation to align recruitment and outreach strategies with innovative programs and community initiatives, ensuring cohesive and effective engagement efforts across both internal and external stakeholders.

Data and Analysis

Utilize CRM systems and other technology to support recruitment efforts, assess program effectiveness, and inform strategic decisions.

Monitor and report on key metrics related to the recruitment funnel and application submissions, providing actionable insights to the Dean.

Program Development

Work with academic leads and the Dean to assess demand for new program offerings and contribute to program planning and marketing strategies.

Collaborate with the Bristol campus enrollment team on recruitment strategies for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Team Management

Hire, train, manage, motivate, and evaluate a team of recruitment professional direct report staff, setting individual and team goals to enhance performance and achieve targets.

Additional Functions

Participate in Extension School and university committees as needed.





Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree.

5 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or marketing.

Proven experience with CRM systems, preferably SLATE and/or Ellucian Elevate.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/O365.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse student populations.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects effectively.

Familiarity with equity, diversity, and inclusion practices in program delivery and staffing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience in Higher Education.

Experience with military student recruitment and transfer credit evaluation.

Knowledge of Tableau and SLATE/ Ellucian Elevate systems.

Bilingual in Spanish.

Experience working in a unionized environment.

Ability to work nights and weekends and travel as necessary.
