Position Description

This a responsible professional position with limited administrative and supervisory duties at the unit level. Specific duties include testing, psychological evaluation and diagnostic services as well as counseling assigned patient caseload. This position functions under the supervision of a higher level licensed psychologist, but the individual has full professional responsibility for higher actions and advice.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Completes timely and clinically sound mental health screenings and assessments using approved tools.
  • Effectively manages an assigned caseload by providing consistent clinical contact, monitoring progress, and updating treatment plans as needed.
  • Facilitates individual and group therapy counseling sessions that are appropriate for the patient population.
  • Completes all clinical documentation accurately and objectively, within the required timeframes.
  • Responds promptly and effectively to mental health crises, using appropriate clinical intervention. Ensures the safety and stability of the individual and documents actions completely.
  • Performs all other assignments as directed.


Required Qualifications

Master's degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university
