Customer Service & Order Processing Representative

We are looking for a dependable Customer Service & Order Processing Representative to support daily order management and customer coordination for a manufacturing organization. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across customer service, logistics, and administrative functions, and takes pride in accuracy. In this role, you will help ensure orders move smoothly from entry through shipment while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and maintain customer orders accurately in the company’s order management system, ensuring all details are complete and up to date.

• Arrange transportation for outbound shipments and confirm routing aligns with delivery requirements and timelines.

• Work closely with warehouse personnel and customers to coordinate shipment schedules, order status updates, and delivery expectations.

• Investigate transit-related issues and submit claims for damaged goods when needed, following established procedures.

• Provide day-to-day support to the sales and operations teams by responding to order-related questions and resolving routine service matters.

• Handle a range of office support activities, including administrative tasks that contribute to efficient department operations.

• Track multiple open orders at once and follow through on outstanding items to help keep fulfillment on schedule.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in order processing, customer communication, and logistics coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Outlook for daily business use.
• Strong data entry and typing skills with a high level of accuracy, including numeric entry.
• Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail when managing orders and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assigned responsibilities, and complete tasks efficiently.
• Capacity to manage several orders or projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and locations.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and contribute to a team-oriented workload-sharing environment.

Compensation

$21.85-$25.30 Hourly
