Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to support and enhance cloud-based infrastructure in Chicago, Illinois. This role focuses on building reliable AWS environments, improving automation, and helping teams maintain scalable and secure systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with core AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools to deliver efficient cloud operations.

Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS to support application performance, reliability, and growth
• Build and manage automated provisioning and configuration workflows using Ansible and related tools
• Configure and optimize Amazon EC2 environments to meet availability, security, and cost-efficiency goals
• Implement and manage Auto Scaling strategies to ensure systems can respond effectively to changing workload demands
• Monitor cloud resources, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and resolve operational problems in a timely manner
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve deployment processes and strengthen platform stability
• Apply cloud security and governance best practices across infrastructure components and access controls

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience designing and supporting infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficiency with Ansible for automation, configuration management, or infrastructure orchestration
• Strong knowledge of Amazon EC2 administration and cloud compute best practices
• Experience implementing and managing Auto Scaling for resilient and elastic environments
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and support production systems effectively
• Understanding of security, performance, and cost optimization principles in AWS environments

Compensation

$155,000.00-$165,000.00 Yearly
